What visa do I need for treatment in China?赴华就医需要什么签证？
Most patients apply for an M (medical) visa. Core materials: passport valid 6+ months, completed visa form and photo, a hospital invitation or appointment confirmation, proof of funds, an itinerary (flights, accommodation), and optionally a medical summary. What if my treatment period exceeds my visa stay?治疗周期超过停留期怎么办？
You can apply for an extension at the local Exit-Entry Administration before expiry (allow at least 10 working days), with the hospital's diagnosis certificate and continued-treatment recommendation. UnionPay cards are widely accepted; international cards work at international departments; Alipay/WeChat and bank transfer are common. Public hospitals operate on pay-first, and elective surgery usually requires a 30–50% deposit.
